Joshua Riibe detained at Puerto Rico after passport stamp glitch amid unsettling questions whether Iowa 22 year old got away with the perfect murder along with father, Albert Riibe meltdown… Iowa former person of interest is free to leave the Dominican Republic as prosecutors are unable to continue holding Riibe following the mystery disappearance of Sudiksha Konanki, University of Pittsburgh pre-med student after early morning swim…
Karma always knows your address. Joshua Riibe, the 22 year old Iowa man who was the last person to see urder? In the absence of of any evidence of foul play and the recovery of the body of missing University of Pittsburgh student, Sudiksha Konanki, found himself facing the wraths of the Gods as he was detained in Puerto Rico, after at last being allowed to leave the Dominican Republic just hours earlier.
Until his Thursday departure, Riibe while not formally charged, nor identified as a suspect in the 20 year old woman’s disappearance, nevertheless found himself being held against his will and repeatedly questioned about Konanki’s ‘abrupt’ disappearance.
It’s as if yet one more obstacle was thrown in his way, just yards, hours before his return to the United States where presumably Riibe will be free to live out his life. Assuming no new evidence or body suddenly turns up….

Albert Riibe at his wit’s end
According to local media Riibe and his irate dad, Albert Riibe were preempted from the final stretch of freedom after Puerto Rican authorities deemed Josh’s newly approved U.S passport (at the behest of the U.S consulate in D.R) failing to being ‘properly stamped.’
Reported the nypost, ‘Joshua Riibe, 22, was detained during a stopover in Puerto Rico late Wednesday, NotiCentro reported — with video showing his dad, Albert, calling out to him to “Ask for your lawyer!”’
Both Josh Riibe and dad, Albert were en route back to Rock Rapids, Iowa where the former high school wrestling champion hailed from and from where the local community had railed for their ‘son’, imploring investigators the former highschool wrestling champion ‘could never hurt a fly,’ as suspicion into the 22 year old’s culpability continued to rein, despite D.R prosecutors wearily agreeing Riibe was finally free to go after repeated probing and confiscation of his passport courtesy of contradictory story accounts and his refusal to to answer critical questions (without the presence of his lawyers).
While Josh Riibe was forced to once again bide time and retain his cool amid a phalanx of pursuing press corps and the niggling suspicion ‘had he gotten away with the perfect murder?’ after Konanki’s body failed to turn up following a drunken early morning swim the pair had taken during the early morning hours of March 6.

Did Joshua Riibe get away with the perfect murder?
A last minute impromptu swim which allegedly led to or contributed to the tragedy and all the world’s eyes on Riibe amid too many un-answered questions.
Was she carried out to sea? Or did he really save her from drowning as he later claimed. Did he really see her wading in knee deep water before ‘passing out?” Why had he not asked about her when he came to or even mention the matter to authorities? She nearly drowned or maybe had drowned? Or maybe something entirely else happened that only Josh Riibe and God (or the universe) will only ever know what really happened.
And as father and son were just yards before freedom ahead, Albert Riibe was observed getting testy, telling, imploring reporters who had come to see a wounded carcass, or prey, or the hunter, demanding press, ‘leave us alone!’
‘I’m just a dad, who had his son taken away, and I don’t understand, we just spent two weeks trying to stay together, and now … I don’t understand,’ the irate dad complained. When would his nightmare be over. How much had he sacrificed and how much would any parent be willing to do for their son?
And what of Sudiksha Konanki’s parents who threw their hands to the universe and pleaded for D.R authorities to move forward and announce (without the presence of her body or her known whereabouts) that she was dead.
Declared the resigned parents on Monday: ‘Both sides of the authorities have shown us how high the ocean waves were at the time of the incident, and both sides of the authorities have clarified the person of interest was not a suspect from the beginning.’
Adding, ‘It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we are coming to terms with the fact our daughter has drowned. This is incredibly difficult for us to process.’
Which begets the awkward question. Did Joshua Riibe get away with the perfect murder? And how will Sukisha’s parent be ever able to move forward? And what lays in store in the future? What might the oceans and universe throw to the shoreline in near days ahead, which could once again turn the investigation and the press corps upside down….
