Was Jamie White Infowars reporter murdered in conspiracy plot? Alex Jones, founder of site blames local DA & billionaire George Soros. Journalist gunned down and stabbed outside his Austin, Texas residence just before midnight.
Wrong place, wrong time? Or victim of conspiracy plot? Alex Jones, the founder of conspiracy site, ‘Infowars’ had blamed the weekend murder of one of the outlet’s ‘star’ reporters in Austin, Texas on Travis County District Attorney Jose Garza as well as billionaire Democratic backer, George Soros.
Posted Jones on X: ‘We are deeply saddened to inform you that InfoWars Reporter Jamie White was brutally murdered around midnight Sunday night due, in part, to the policies of the Soros Austin, TX D.A. Jose Garza.
‘We pledge that Jamie’s tragic death will not be in vain, and those responsible for this senseless violence will be brought to justice.
Was Infowars reporter murder the result of a conspiracy plot?
‘Jamie’s important work will be carried on through InfoWars, our readers, and our cherished listeners.’
The homicide, which was Austin’s eighth murder of 2025, took place in the 2300 block of Douglas Street in South Austin, a residential neighborhood, FOX 7 Austin reported.
While officials declined to say what led to the slaying, Infowars founder blamed the reporter’s death on an alleged upcoming report the 37 year old ‘star reporter’ was doing uncovering criminal prosecution in Austin.
Noted the Austin Statesman: ‘Jamie White wrote for InfoWars on several different issues, including politics, current affairs, and entertainment. He covered controversial topics, including international affairs. His work also appeared on other platforms like Scribd and TRANSCEND.’

Alex Jones of Infowars blames billionaire George Soros
Concern for the reporter came after White failed to show up to work on Monday. A welfare check led to the journalist being found with severe injuries, with White reportedly stabbed and shot, outside of his apartment in Austin, Texas on Sunday. Police took him to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police ruled White’s death a homicide and a shooting/stabbing, while declining to released any additional information or identifying any suspects.
Jones alleged that White had been gathering information on Garza’s alleged lax treatment of violent criminals, although that claim has also not been verified.
Jones accused Garza of undermining law enforcement through ‘vicious policies financially backed by billionaire George Soros,‘ who he also blamed for White’s death. He said Garza’s progressive approach to criminal justice led to the rising crime rate in Austin.
‘I lay all of this squarely at the feet of Soros and of the sort of crime syndicate of the Democratic Party,’ said Jones. ‘They are the ones that administratively cut the police, prosecuted the police, and even cases that are hundred percent clear to be lawful, legal activities.’
‘You murdered Jamie White, you opened the door, you created the climate, you created conditions on purpose. George Soros. Alexander Soros, you murdered Jamie White,’ Alex added.
‘These are sick, degenerate, evil people that know what they’re doing and they aided and abetted. They are accomplices to the murder of a great American and Infowars long time veteran reporter Jamie White.’
Austin District Attorney Garza was elected in 2020 with backing from a Super PAC funded by Soros, who is both a prolific donor to progressive causes and a regular fixation of antisemitic conspiracy theorists.
Noted the Independent: ‘Since then he (Garza) has been criticized by Infowars and targeted by conservative mega-billionaire Elon Musk, who reportedly channeled dark money into an unsuccessful effort to unseat him.’
Jones suggested that White’s murder was targeted likely because of the work he did at InfoWars, while vowing to continue his work so that his death ‘would not be in vain.’
‘This was a great American. A man of conviction. And they killed him,’ Jones reiterated. ‘But we will never stop fighting for justice. For Jamie. For everyone who’s been a victim of this engineered crime wave.’
Cops to date have not commented on Alex Jones’ allegations, leading some to wonder whether the founder’s claims were based on hyperbole and seeking to use the slaying as a pre-text for the site being targeted by nefarious actors- a claim that ironically has been the ongoing draw of the site’s content and appeal to its audience – even in personal tragedy.
To date no suspects have been named or any arrests made.
