Tara Carr, Woodstown, N.J woman and former summer camp director at Rastelli Kids Complex charged with repeated sex assault of 14 year old boy over 3 month period.
A well to do businesswoman and former camp director of a popular children’s recreation facility has been accused of repeatedly sexually abusing an underage boy and sending him nude images of herself over a three-month period, according to New Jersey authorities.
Tara Carr, 46, of Woodstown, N.J is accused of performing sex acts on the 14-year-old victim multiple times inside her car after picking up the boy from school and driving him to vacant recreation fields in the area.
The alleged sexual assaults happened over a three month period last year, from March to May of 2024, NBC 10 reported. Not immediately clear is how the 46 year old woman met her 14 year old male victim.
Suspect had been director at popular kids summer camp at time of child sex assault
Carr, who once owned a hugely-successful summer camp for 900 children and a cheerleading squad, was investigated after the teen victim spoke with police. It remained unclear if the teen boy had previously attended the facility’s summer camp.
Carr now faces various child sexual assault charges following her arrest last week. The woman’s arrest follows Carr selling a four bedroom, three bedroom home worth $600,000 in Woodstown, last month.
Carr is married to Michael Carr, a marketing executive at his wife’s family’s firm Rastelli Foods Group.
According to court documents seen by 6abc, police were notified of the married mother-of-three’s alleged behavior last May before arresting her on January 9.
The teen victim told investigators that he had been sexually involved with Carr, and that the 46 year old woman frequently sent the 14 year old boy explicit messages and images on Snapchat.
Authorities allege Car would pick the boy up from his school before sexually assaulting him multiple times around Marlton Park, Pilesgrove, and Mannington Township.

Rastelli Kids Complex releases statement
Carr admitted to sending the images to the teen while she was interviewed, according to a criminal complaint.
Investigators also obtained her cellphone, searched her car and gained access to her Snapchat account, confirming the teen’s accusations, officials said.
A spokesperson for Rastelli Kids Complex said that she had worked in management and did not interact with children. They also said she stood down last year.
Stated the outlet in a release in part:
We want to reaffirm to the RKC community our commitment to creating a safe space for all of the kids and their families at Camp Sam, South Jersey Storm (SJS) and other programs. When these allegations came to light they were immediately reported it to the credentialing organizations for camp (American Camp Association (ACA) and cheer (USASF) notifying them as required.
There were no charges filed against her when these allegations first came to light, and despite rumors, no previous charges were ever filed.
Carr is also linked with Camp Sam, which is part of the Rastelli Kids Complex and South Jersey Storm cheerleading squad.
Allison Reimer, a mother from Sewell, New Jersey, told 6abc: ‘It kind of makes you lose faith in the community.
‘To send your kids to sports and you hear all kinds of things, of coaches and teachers. It’s scary.’
Carr who remains jailed in Salem County is scheduled to appear at a detention hearing this Wednesday.
