Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan, the 47-year-old principal of Roosevelt Elementary School, was arrested alongside teacher Karly Anderson, 45, after the principal hosted an ‘open house party,’ at her Brevard County area home last weekend.

Juveniles as young as 13 were present at the alcohol fueled party
Responding officers on the evening of January 19th, found no less than 100 kids at the home in matching t-shirts, many of whom were consuming alcohol which was freely available in coolers at the home.
One of the kids was found on the front lawn ‘experiencing an alcohol related medical event,’ which the Cocoa Beach Police Department said required treated from Brevard County Fire Rescue.
Minors as young as 13 were present at the alcohol fueled party.
‘During this time the homeowner, Hill-Brodigan, was seen by Officers in the driveway of her residence turning off the outside lights and entering her residence, causing BCFR to use auxiliary lighting on their vehicle to treat the juvenile,’ the CBPD said in a press release.
Another intoxicated juvenile was arrested near the residence during a traffic stop, resulting in the arrest of the driver for a DUI.
Anderson revealed to police she was a Roosevelt Elementary School teacher and was also found intoxicatedat the party, WESH reported.
Hill-Brodigan posted a $3,500 bond and Anderson was released on a $3,000 bond, online records show.
No courts date have been set, the pair each face one felony charge of child neglect.

Betrayal of trust by school administrators
News of the incident shocked parents and locals, with one woman telling WSVN:
‘These kids, they trust teachers; they trust the administrators. And when you have somebody betray that trust and lead these kids down a path like that, it’s sad and scary all at the same time.’
Hill-Brodigan became principal of the elementary school on May 2, 2024, according to the school’s website.
She wrote that she was ‘over the moon excited to be the new principal’ and claimed to have served the students and parents of Brevard County for the last 23 years.
‘Students, families, and staff are very close to my heart, I really enjoy what I do,’ she previously stated.
Both principal and teacher have been placed on administrative leave with the Brevard County School District pending the outcome of the police investigation.
‘We are extremely troubled by these accusations and are fully cooperating with the Cocoa Beach Police Department. Our commitment to student safety remains our top priority,’ Brevard Public Schools administrators said.
