Annie Dunleavy, Chapman, Connecticut elementary school teacher suspended over Snapchat video threatening Donald Trump voters in the latest political meltdown.

The political polarisation continues…  A Connecticut K-6 ‘special education’ teacher was placed on leave after posting a Snapchat video of herself threatening individuals who voted for President-elect Donald Trump.

In the video, Chapman School special education teacher, Annie Dunleavy, 30, said that she would put Trump supporters ‘on a stretcher’ if they ‘tested their gangster’ on her.

‘[I’m] so serious nobody f—king talk to me unless you wanna swing – if you wanna fight, text me call me, whatever, anybody else stay the f–k outta my face,’ the liberal voting educator said in the video.

‘…please don’t test your gangster on me because you will end on a stretcher, gone forever!’

Dunleavy, in her video, claims that the people she cares about ‘aren’t gonna be safe in America’ so ‘neither the f*** are you guys’.

‘Just because you won doesn’t mean we don’t remember who the f*** you voted for you’re not in the clear… please, please don’t test your gangster on me because you will end on a stretcher – gone, forever,’ Dunleavy said in the post viewed 6.8 million times.

‘[I’m] so serious nobody f***ing talk to me unless you wanna swing – if you wanna fight text me call me, whatever, anybody else stay the f*** outta my face.’

‘If you voted for Trump literally, please delete me, block me, get rid of everything of me – or step to me, so that I know what’s up and I can handle you how I see fit.’

But there was fallout just around the corner.

Cheshire Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Jeff Solan was notified, with the school district insisting that the teacher in question was sharing her personal views in what was meant to be a private message.

‘The Cheshire Public Schools is reviewing this situation as a personnel matter, and as such we are following all applicable laws,’ he wrote in a message to the school community.

With the added caveat:That being said, it is immediately clear that it will be impossible to conduct business as usual for our students and staff without temporarily removing the teacher from the building so we have done so until the outcome of the investigation.’

Police patrolling school as a precaution

Local police were also notified after the post went viral as they are now investigate.

‘The Cheshire Police Department is aware of the recent social media post which has gone viral which involves an employee of the Town of Cheshire Board of Education,’ Cheshire police wrote in a statement according to The Express Tribune

‘Upon becoming aware of the nature of the post, an investigation was initiated. This investigation is still on-going and there is no further information available at this time.’

Although there have been no direct threats to the school, according to Solan, the school district will have a cautionary police presence outside of the school.

Reiterated Solan, ‘Again, I would encourage civil conversation and ask that everyone, particularly adults, work to try and bring down the temperature for the benefit of all Americans, but especially our students.’

Parents and community members unnerved by the video, believe that putting Dunleavy on leave was the best available option.

‘So, whether you agree politically or not, it doesn’t matter,’ Cheshire parent Ian Anctil told News 3.

‘You’re a teacher and educator educating our kids. You need to be cognitive of who’s going to hear what you say, whether it’s not intended for the public or not.’

Other commentators have taken a more dire view, insisting the ‘special education’ teacher be immediately fired.
