Alana Cagle of Daytona Beach and Wayne Streeter, of Ormond Beach, Florida arrested after ‘sex tied up at the beach’ with un-named victim leads to man being beaten up, choked and attacked with a hatchet as he fled for his life from couple.
What was supposed to be a ‘sex tied up at the beach’ rendezvous, a Florida man has claimed surviving with his life after alleging the woman he had a ‘date’ with, jumping on him, choking and beating him and chasing him down the street with a hatchet with her boyfriend in tow.
The un-named victim was heard wildly screaming as he sought to flee Alana Cagle, 18, of Daytona Beach, and her boyfriend, Wayne Streeter, 24, of Ormond Beach. The boyfriend and girlfriend were arrested after the alleged victim catching the attention of a patrolling Volusia County detective.
Upon their arrest, Cagle and Streeter were both charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Both suspects were released from the Volusia County Branch Jail on $5,000 bail.
According to a probable cause affidavit cited by the Daytona News Journal, the victim had agreed to go to the beach with Cagle, Wednesday evening, just after 7pm, after allegedly promising the victim she would have sex with him while tied up on the beach.
After having picked up the victim in her Suburu, and finding a stretch of sand, Cagle began to tie his legs with a yellow piece of rope. At some point, the victim began to get ‘odd vibes’ and said he did not feel comfortable about the promised deed and had now changed his mind.
At that moment, according to the arrest affidavit, Streeter appeared, with the victim beginning to untie his legs, only for Cagle to jump on his legs. He fought her off and ran with Streeter giving chase, tackling the victim to the ground. Streeter choked the victim until he could hardly breathe, according to the affidavit.
But there was more to come.
Cagle is alleged to have then started punching the victim, along with producing what ‘appeared to be a hatchet,’ according to the arrest report. Yes kids, sometimes your fantasy can quickly become your worse nightmare!
The victim said he fought for his life and escaped the beating, running onto Ocean Shore Boulevard where he saw a deputy’s patrol car.
The deputy who picked up the victim reported seeing a shirtless man bleeding heavily from one leg and other parts of his body frantically shouting and waving at cars. The victim had multiple cuts to his abdomen, kneecaps, shins, and a deep cut on the upper left part of his back.
The victim was transported to Advent Health Daytona to be treated for his injuries, the affidavit stated.
Cagle and Streeter were arrested shortly after the incident in a traffic stop. Blood and the victim’s backpack were found in Cagle’s Subaru.
At the scene of the attack, deputies found the yellow rope, a T-shirt, a hat, and a sheath for a hatchet. Investigators also found blood on a beach walkway and in the park where the victim ran.
Questioned by deputies, Streeter said that he was picked up by Cagle, who he identified as his girlfriend to go to the beach. At some point the victim appeared at the beach, pushed Cagle down, prompting him to punch him in the face. After the fight, he and Cagle drove off, he said. Streeter insisted there were no weapons involved.
Cagle declined to speak with deputies, requesting she be allowed to speak with a lawyer.
Cagle and Streeter are schedule to next appear in court on November 26.
