A Minnesota man suspected in the shooting deaths of four people found in an abandoned SUV in a Wisconsin cornfield over the weekend has been arrested and a second man, identified as the first suspect’s son, is being sought, police said.

Darren Lee McWright, 56, of St. Paul, was arrested Wednesday on four counts of hiding a corpse as a party to a crime after a farmer in Dunn County discovered the SUV Sunday with the bodies of two women and two men inside, the Star Tribune reported.

The victims, each of whom was shot once in the head, have been identified as Nitosha Flug-Presley, 30, of Stillwater; Matthew Pettus, 26, of St. Paul; Jasmine C. Sturm, 30, of St. Paul; and Loyace Foreman III, 35. Sturm was Pettus’ half-sister and Foreman’s girlfriend, according to the newspaper.

McWright according to authorities was spotted meeting with one of the victims, described as a family friend, the night before at a Minnesota bar.

A complaint filed Thursday said witnesses told cops they saw a second suspect, Antoine Darnique Suggs, 38, late Saturday at the White Squirrel Bar in St. Paul with Flug-Presley. One person at the bar noticed the pair and a second witness saw Flug-Presley buy a shot of tequila before handing it to Suggs.

No known motive

Flug-Prelsey’s aunt said her niece had a ‘thing’ with Suggs, who would fly in from Arizona to see her. Records indicated Suggs had recently been living in Scottsdale, where he was listed as the owner of Darnque Apparel, according to the complaint.

Investigators have not disclosed a motive in the quadruple slaying. Flug-Presley was discovered in the front passenger seat of the 2008 Mercedes-Benz GL. The other three victims were in the backseat, authorities said.

Surveillance video at a convenience store in Wheeler, Wisconsin, showed the Mercedes at a gas pump Sunday afternoon. Moments later, a black Nissan Rogue pulled up and cops traced that vehicle to the mother of Darren Suggs, who said his brother Antoine uses the car when he’s in town.

Darren Suggs also told authorities McWright is his biological father and confirmed via a still photo that the man was one of the suspects seen at the convenience store, authorities said.

Family friend involved in slayings

Antoine Suggs, who is believed to be in the Twin Cities region, is considered armed and dangerous, according to the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office.

Damone Presley Sr., the father of Nitosha Flug-Presley, told the Star Tribune he knew McWright as a youngster when his father coached and mentored him at St. Paul’s Oxford Community Center. They ran into each other a month ago and McWright offered condolences on the death of Damone’s father, Dennis Presley, who died late last year, the outlet reported.

‘I’m just not understanding,’ Presley told the Star Tribune on Thursday.

Adding, ‘I wouldn’t say he was a close family friend but he was a well-known friend of the family.

‘He certainly wasn’t a stranger.’
