The female Trump supporter who was shot and killed inside the US Capitol during Wednesday’s protests was from the San Diego area.
Ashli Babbitt, 35, was identified as a 14-year veteran, who served four tours with the US Air Force, and was a high level security official throughout her time in service according to a report via KUSI.
At least one person was shot and rushed to a hospital after supporters of President Donald Trump who rallied outside the U.S. Capitol clashed with police officers and breached the building, forcing a lockdown with members of Congress inside.
The protesters, some who whom were seen wearing body armor, made their way up the steps around 2:15 p.m., pushing through barricades, officers in riot gear and other security measures put in place in anticipation of the protest.

Retweeted bogus conspiracy theories
Ashli Babbitt’s husband, Aaron Babbitt told KUSI she was a strong supporter of President Trump, while describing her as a great patriot to all who knew her.
Supporters of Trump portrayed her online as a martyr. Babbitt’s social media featured retweets of bogus conspiracy theories that President-elect Joe Biden stole the election from Trump.
Babbitt’s Twitter page, CommonAshSense contained references to QAnon. ‘Nothing will stop us….they can try and try and try but the storm is here and it is descending upon DC in less than 24 hours….dark to light!’ she wrote. She had retweeted QAnon accounts and former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.
