What led to Patricia Diocson a Philadelphia granddaughter fatally stabbing her grandfather 41 times to death at the family home? 

Patricia Diocson a 21 year old Philadelphia woman has been arrested after allegedly stabbing her 80 year old grandfather to death no less than 41 times.

At the time of the Robert Girard‘s stabbing murder at the family’s Port Richmond home, last Wednesday, the granddaughter told investigators arriving home circa 9 p.m. and finding her grandfather naked in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor.

During investigations police said there was a trail of blood leading from Girard’s second-floor bedroom to the kitchen, with were no signs of forced entry.

Reviewing surveillance footage from cameras overlooking Diocson’s home, investigators discovered Diocson had been the last person to enter the residence before police were summoned to the scene of the crime.

Come Monday, the granddaughter turned herself in to the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit where she was charged with murder in the killing of Robert Girard last week.

In addition to murder, Diocson was also charged with possessing an instrument of crime.

The 21-year-old woman lived with her grandfather and worked at a nearby grocery story.

Patricia Diocson Philadelphia granddaughter alleges her grandfather was mean and abusive towards her. But to what degree? 

When interviewed by detectives, Dioscon claimed Girard was abusive towards her, but there was no word on the exact nature of the alleged abuse.

That said, neighbor Dan Martino told NBC10 never having heard any arguments between the granddaughter and grandfather.  

‘Same thing as always,’ Martino said. ”Hey Dan.’ ‘Hey Trish.’ We see each other. It was very pleasant.”

Added Martino, ‘It just sent a chill down my spine because to be honest, she was the last person I would have suspected.’

Gerard was a US Army veteran who lost his wife, Diane, in January 2016. The couple had five children and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

‘He was a sweet guy. He did no harm to nobody. He would help somebody if they needed it. That’s why I can’t see how they did this to him,’ Pauline Cheeseman, who had been friends with Girard for 40 years, told Fox 29.
