To date Nearly 40,000 people have signed a petition asking the social media website to remove numerous photos posted by 19-year-old Kendall Jones, according to huffpo.

The ‘fun’ photos show Kendall Jones with dead or tranquilized African animals she had hunted, including a lion, rhino, antelope, leopard, elephant, zebra and hippopotamus.

Reads the petition: ‘For the sake of all animals, especially the animals in the African region … where hunters are going for gun just to kill an animal! Some people have been reporting the pages lately but it seems Facebook is not concerned about what Kendall Jones is promoting in her page.’

In addition to the ‘fun, happy’ pictures, Jones writes a short description to inform users about the context of the photo.

‘Everyone that doesn’t think people eat elephant, this is only part of the village that showed up to take a little protein home,’ wrote Jones in one photo in which she describes a hunting foray that led to the killing of an elephant.

‘While all of the ANTI Hunters were hiding behind a computer writing repulsive comments and issuing death threats to me, well I was out doing a White Rhino Green Hunt,’ she writes in one ‘delicious’ description.

‘Again, doing my part in conservation to make a difference.’

Interestingly, Kendall Jones also makes note of her ambition to host her own TV show next year, appearing to have a camera crew traveling with her to record some of her hunts.

Reality show or not, facebook users have continued to voice their distress over posted images.

Asks one user of a happy Jones and a deceased lion: ‘How could anyone take the life of such a beautiful animal and SMILE?? I just don’t get it, it’s sick!’

‘Trophy hunting majestic and rare animals so you can get paid by the people who sponsor you is sick,‘ another user writes.

A hunter also gave his opinion, saying, ‘I’m a hunter and proud of that. That being said I eat what I shoot and only hunt overpopulated animals that other wise would starve or get diseased.’

In her defense, Kendal Jones has told her hunts involved a ‘fair chase’ (which ought to all calm you down) and that they took place in areas where animal populations sometimes had to be controlled.

In one posting where she defends her ‘happy’ actions, Kendall Jones writes: ‘People try to say that lions will not attack a hippo, rhino or elephant, quite the contrary. Lions attack and kill the young of these species,’

Adding: ‘Controlling the male lion population is important within large fenced areas like these,’

‘Funds from a hunt like this goes partially to the government for permits but also to the farm owner as an incentive to keep and raise lions on their property.’

According to Jones, some of the animals she poses with have not been shot dead, but instead tranquilized and studied for educational purposes.

“I darted a white rhino and the Vet drew blood samples, DNA profile, cleaned out and medicated a leg wound and gave several shots of antibiotics,’ she writes in one description. ‘The Rhino woke up great and will now be a part of a DNA databank fighting against anti-poaching.’

Nevertheless, one imagines to Kendall Jones great dismay or utter nonchalance, Facebook users continue to damn the 19 year old.

‘Africa doesn’t need scum like you,‘ one user writes. ‘Go back to where you came from.’

Not that will not necessarily do a thing to Kendall Jones whose probably planning her next shoot them and fair hunting holiday as you grimace over her ‘happy hunting pictures.’

  1. Maybe because fetuses don’t have a conscious mind or a fully developed limbic system or EEG brain waves deaming them uncapable of feeling emotion, pain or love. These creatures however, are very conscious and aware, feeling all these things. I’m against murdering babies 100%, however a fetus is not a baby. Learn some basic biology, my dear.

  2. I am totally against murdering babies, but you’re the reason why I’m hugely in favor of contraception.

  3. I have spent the better part of an afternoon explaining to twerps like you that you can be passionately anti baby killing and love animals. Moran.

  4. By your language and name calling you know that I am spot on. You value the life of an animal more than the life of a human baby

  5. You are a typical liberal name calling and a bigot, your view of this world is perverse and self centered

  6. You know the sad thing is… I bet the majority of these people who are so upset are PRO ABORTION!! So it is okay to kill a baby out of convenience, but don’t dare kill an animal!! REALLY PEOPLE!!!!
