Was it just a blunder or a calculated plan?

The Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office this late afternoon released the results of an autopsy done on Justin Ross Harris son, 22-month-old Cooper Harris, telling that the young boy died of hyperthermia, a manner which the office told is consistent to homicide.

Did Justin Ross Harris intentionally kill his 22 month old son Cooper?

Technically speaking hyperthermia occurs when ones body loses heat faster than it can produce heat, causing a dangerous low body temperature, an instance which is consistent of a child being locked in an automobile in hot sweltering conditions as was the case on the day Cooper Harris died.

Told Cobb County Police Chief John Houser: ‘During the course of their investigation, detectives began to obtain physical evidence and testimonial evidence that lead them to believe a more serious crime has been committed.

‘I understand that tragic accidents similar to this one do occur and in most cases they parent simply made a mistake that cost them the life of their child. This institution, although similar in nature to others, must be weighed on its own merit and the facts that lead our detectives to charge the father must be presented at the appropriate time during the judicial process. The chain of events that occurred in this case does not point toward simple negligence and evidence will be presented to support this allegation.

‘I fully understand the emotional impact this case has on the public, and as concerned citizens and parents everyone wants to know how this could happen. With that being said, the Police Department cannot share specific details of the investigation with the public. As the investigation continues, there will be times during the process that additional information will be released.

‘In fairness to everyone involved in this emotional case, I ask that you not make conclusions based on rumor or suspicion and let our judicial system work as it is designed.’

Which presents the awkward question had Justin Ross Harris intended to murder his toddler son or had he unwittingly left his son in the car only to realize too late that he had created a horrendous blunder?

A blunder which the Home Depot corporate officer may have been reluctant to own up to when he once again after parking his SUV that morning returned to ‘pick up’ some items during lunch.

And yet what seems completely at odds with the notion that the father had simply committed a blunder, an oversight,  is the fact that police sources have told that Justin Ross Harris had at some time before the child’s death had come to be researching on the web ‘animals in hot cars.’

Had Justin Ross Harris actively sought to murder his son or was this an instance of a horrific oversight that the father couldn’t fathom owning up to?

At present Harris is being held without bond, facing charges of murder and second-degree cruelty to a child, a felony. A bond hearing is scheduled for July 3.
