Jonathan Sanderson, a 38 year old UK Marketing executive has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after mercilessly beating his girlfriend after she told him she wanted to break up with him.
Unfortunately for the girlfriend, Sanderson who had just returned home inebriated, didn’t take the news so well (was he really that surprised?) and proceeded to beat her up to the point where the woman suffered four broken ribs, incurred a hole in her bowel and even had to have her pancreas removed.
Police reports told how the executive who had been dating the unnamed woman for a year and a half repeatedly punched the woman in the stomach, stumbling onto her bed.
It wasn’t until the following morning that the woman woke up with a for stomach and asked Sanderson to take her to the hospital.
She would end up having to endure a four hour emergency surgery later that morning.
Since Sanderson’s aggravated assault charge with a deadly weapon has been levied, it has been discovered the marketing executive had been charged with the same crime before, as well as counts of theft, possession of marijuana and failure to identify a fugitive.
The UK’s dailymail notes that Sanderson’s Facebook says he is originally from London.
His education and employment history on Linkedn say he studied architecture and graphic design at University of Washington before joining the Marine Corps.
He currently purports to own an events and marketing company, specializing in social media, called Global X-ibit.
Sanderson was booked into Dallas County Jail on February 13.
Bail was set at $25,000. Commentators on the web have asked why attempted murder charges were not levied.
