For a moment it appeared that America’s favorite serial dater of conspicuous young men of note, Taylor Swift might be getting ready to date a new young hot thing. But her dreams were probably dashed when the young man of note, Sam Fox‘s father, Michael J. Fox declined any possible overtures on behalf of his son.

Reacting to a joke Tina Fey made at the Golden Globes this past weekend, that 25 year old Sam Fox (even if he really looks 12 and thus up Taylor’s alley) might now be under Swift’s radar, the actor/comedian told Vulture the following:

“No. No… Just back off…I don’t keep up with it all. But Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right? What a way to build a career.”

The actor added that if Swift came to dinner at his house, he “wouldn’t even know who she was,” but that it would hit him, later, after she released the inevitable post-break-up song.

“‘Sam, You Piece of Shit.’ Oh … that was the girl you brought home”

Of course that’s all just a backhand way of whetting Taylor Swift’s appetite cause if she can date blue blood, action heroes and gangly music heroes surely she can date a legend satire actor’s son because it’s bound to do both of them some good?

One day whilst Sam Fox is sashaying down some red carpet, Taylor Swift will slap him in the face for the break up that never ever got to happen and cry in his arms ‘and you let your daddy get in the way of our 4 day whirlwind romance.’ Which at that point Sam will quietly write his father a check for $20 ‘ you’re right dad I could have had her ass but let’s admit it she can probably do more for my career than your 1980’s has been ass can….’
