Styleite: Yes, Abercrombie Kids is selling a swimsuit top labeled “push-up triangle”. However, after people freaked out about this, the website’s copy now reads “striped triangle”. And while the product description once included the word “padded”, it is now conspicuously absent. Of course, the bikini top in question has remained exactly the same (read: it still has padding and is still a push-up)
Isn’t this wonderful news? Now instead of little girls just wishing to look-a-little-more-like-Miley they can actually be like her and dress and live beyond their years. Who knows, maybe this ‘striped triangle’ will make 8-year-old psycho star in the making Britney Campbell re-think breast implants— or at least help her to stop looking at her 8-year-old wrinkles.
And as for Abercrombie Kids, what is next? Secret compartments for condoms in your Kids cargo shorts? We all know what will happen when the little boys see those new push-up bikinis on their pals…
If you’re going to blatantly promote sex to children for the sake of retail sales, it had at least better be safe, right?
Hm, maybe we should get Dov Charney’s opinion…?
