The Whitney tete a tete celebrating the museum’s 75 years of biennials was an upscale to do. The kind of event where young socialites meet their future husbands. Set on the dock by the pool at The Standard Hotel, the lighting set the tone for an evening of influential hob knobbing.
Content to observe and set about my expedition of interviewing I was surprised to find that someone had decided to interview me. Apparently, I was dressed so fabulously that they wanted to feature me on their site. Giving me a boost of non alcohol induced confidence, I decided that I could handle this crowd.
I ventured off to make some new acquaintances and met some characters. Ironically, everyone that I spoke to lived in my Upper East Side neighborhood. I met more New Yorkers at that one event in Miami than I have in my years of living there.
