The recently held Imperial Court of New York’s Night of a Thousand Gowns benefit, held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel- NYC raised over $225,000, with proceeds being shared with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and God’s Love We Deliver.
During the evening Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell received a knighthood from The Court in recognition for his charitable work as the creator and executive producer of Broadway Bares, which has benefited BC/EFA since 1992. Also honored was American infantry officer Lt. Dan Choi.
The evening featured performances by Broadway veteran Terri White, pop vocalist Kelly King, cast members from Broadway Bares, dance-pop singer Kristine W., drag divas Coco Peru & Jesse Volt, and DJ Sherry Vine. It was to be sure a delightful evening.
