DS: You have to wait for my book. One thing about me, I will not learn one lesson twice. I’ve only been arrested once. I was very aware of what was going on around me, and I didn’t turn on anyone to get out of what was happening to me. Teresa von Fleet recommended probation in my case; they never do that. I plead guilty to a lesser charge of extortion because it’s easier than going through litigation. Do you really want to risk it?
SCV: And the Columbian cartel that you were allegedly involved with?
DS: Who wants to talk about that?
SCV: You never turned on anyone in the cartel that posed a threat to you? I always wondered why you would be so bold as to appear on a reality show when you were supposed to be in hiding.
DS: If one thing gets cleared up tonight, I want it to be this. If I really had been in hiding, wouldn’t I have been placed in Witness Protection? Would Bravo have allowed my participation? Wouldn’t all records of my arrest and trial be public knowledge? It’s so easy to find the facts, it’s on Smoking Gun, look it up.
SCV Ok, what’s next for this housewife?
DS: I want to brand myself. I will be around until people say that they don’t want me anymore. I answer all of my fan mail, and often apologize for being vague in my responses. I’m often up until 4am reading. The right people have the right image of me. I don’t want to relate to everyone.
SCV: Then how do you see yourself as a ‘reality star?’
DS: I am a character, and television is my medium. I think ultimately I am relatable. I don’t approach my fans because cameras are rolling. I follow my heart. If I could keep only one heart from breaking then my life has not been in vain.
SCV: You believe that?
DS: If not me who else?
SCV: Is this all in your upcoming book?
DS: You’re just all going to have to wait.
SCV: Yes us and all your fans.
