Nicole Karastury Elliott shot dead in murder-suicide by boyfriend, Andrew Roy Harris out on bond for previous domestic violence arrest. Tragedy happened outside of mother of three’s Waverly Hall, Georgia home.
A Georgia mother of three was killed in a murder-suicide just moments after dropping two of her kids off at school earlier this week.
Nicole Karastury Elliott, 35, was shot outside her home after a dispute with her 36-year-old boyfriend, Andrew Roy Harris, outside Waverly Hall, Harris County on Monday, Aug. 17.
Harris was found the following day in a room at a Days Inn hotel in Phenix City, Alabama with a single gunshot wound to the head, with the wanted man taking his own life as officers moved in. Prior to the discovery, Harris had been wanted for Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault.
Boyfriend was out on bail for previous domestic violence arrest
According to Harris County Sheriff Mike Jolley, Elliott was shot after the couple argued the night before over prescription medication belonging to one of her children when the boyfriend confronted her outside her home the following morning.
‘We heard the voices on the Ring camera where she had yelled, ‘Don’t do it,’’ Jolley said at a Tuesday, Aug. 18 press conference. ‘We heard the gunfire. And then we heard her call his name out. ‘Don’t, don’t do it,’ and called his name out on the Ring camera.’
The tragedy comes after Harris was out on bond for a previous domestic violence charge according to the Columbus Ledger Enquirer.
Mom of three had called shooter boyfriend, her ‘future husband’.
Cops were forced to break the heartbreaking news of their mother’s death to her children.
‘To make that notification yesterday to those three kids that their mother is no longer with us was heart-wrenching,’ the official said. ‘It’s never an easy thing to do, but when you tell three young kids that their mother is no longer here it’s heartbreaking.’
Harris appears all over Elliot’s social media posts, smiling with her children. The pair had started going out in 2024.
In May 2025, Elliot posted a list of all the things she loves about Harris to celebrate one year together.
She also called him her ‘future husband.’
‘Most of all I love doing life with you,’ she wrote. ‘Cheers to our first year of memories together, and to many, many more.’
According to a GoFundMe post, the family had just moved into a new home and the children — ages 14, 10 and 6 — were ‘so excited to finally have rooms of their own.’
‘Nicole was an amazing woman, mother, and friend with a huge heart who was always willing to help anyone in need,’ the post stated. ‘Her family is now left trying to process this heartbreaking tragedy and make sense of a loss that feels impossible to understand.’
