A Minnesota man is alleged to have killed this wife and their child before taking his own life at a daycare center. The slaying took place ten miles from Minneapolis in front of six other children at the center.
The purported murder-suicide took place at Brown Bear Childcare on Tyler Avenue North, in Hopkins, Minnesota, Wednesday morning.

Police responded to a reported domestic incident just after 9 a.m. and found a man, woman, and child dead inside. Police identified 41 year old Kristen Brown, her husband 41 year old Nathan Brown and the couple’s daughter among the dead with Hopkins Police Chief Brent Johnson saying the husband was responsible for taking their lives before taking his own life.
The deceased child was described as being younger than 5-years-old, KARE 11 reported.
Chief Johnson said a parent arriving to drop off their child witnessed the incident and was the one who called police. Six other children present at the daycare were unharmed and have since been reunited with their families.

The tragedy may also be connected to a fourth death approximately 20 miles away in Burnsville.
Later Wednesday, Burnsville police found a 78-year-old woman dead from an apparent stabbing inside a home. Authorities said the woman was related to Nathan Brown, who had also reportedly been living at the Burnsville residence.
Investigators believe the Burnsville homicide is connected to the deaths at Brown Bear Childcare, potentially bringing the number of people killed in the violence to four.
Social media identified the 78-year old as Alice Brown, the mother of Nathan Brown.
No known motive
The Brown Bear daycare according to its Facebook page was described as a licensed home center ‘to help children learn grow.’
The center was run out of a four–bedroom, two–bathroom home that featured ‘1800 square feet of dedicated play space.’
Police say there is no ongoing threat to the public and are treating this as an isolated incident. The cause of death has not yet been released however witnesses at the scene stated they believed Kristen and the child were stabbed and that Nathan may have died from a gunshot wound.
While police had yet to say what led to the domestic violence, it is thought the slaying followed the escalation of a domestic incident at the scene, FOX9 reported.
