Investigators said surveillance footage contradicted statements Parms gave to detectives. According to WBRZ, video showed him riding a bicycle believed to be connected to the case and later throwing multiple items into garbage cans, they also found blood stains on the scene and inside Parms’ truck.

Parms was originally arrested on June 10 after police found messages between him and a 16-year-old girl while investigating Minnieweather’s disappearance.
