Jadeance Hale & her friend Lila Asher shot dead trying to break up with Kentucky boyfriend, James Priddy as last moments are shared on social media.
A man kidnapped his girlfriend and her friend before fatally shooting them after his love interest had expressed wanting to end their relationship according to Kentucky authorities.
James Priddy, 21, shot and killed 18-year-old Jadeance Hale and 19-year-old Lila Asher before killing himself, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office announced. The events unfolded on Saturday night.
At about 10:45 p.m., the sheriff’s office said it was contacted by the Barbourville Police Department and told that officers were following a red Chevrolet Cobalt ‘regarding a reported possible domestic violence complaint.’

Authorities say parents ‘became concerned’ after three people had left a Barbourville home ‘to go get something to eat,’ only to never return.
Hale was Priddy’s girlfriend, and Asher, a mother of a 5-month-old, was with the couple because Hale wanted support.
Hale planned to break up with Priddy. Her mother had reportedly called 911 sobbing, saying her daughter and a friend were with a man in a vehicle and that he wouldn’t let them leave.
‘She tells me that they got proof that this female has been trying to leave him all day. Trying to get her,’ according to audio from a dispatcher cited by WKYT. ‘This male has took off with her.’
Police caught up with the Chevy sedan, only for the vehicle’s driver, Priddy refusing to stop, prompting a high speed police chain which led to the fleeing vehicle crashing.
When deputies went to the windows to check on the occupants, they saw that all three people — Hale, Asher, and Priddy — were dead. ‘All indications are that apparently James Priddy shot and killed Hale and Asher, then killed himself,’ the sheriff’s office said.
Final desperate moments and final goodbye’s
According to social media, family members had attempted to de-escalate the situation in the hours before, explaining that Jadeance needed space.
At one point, Jadeance allegedly told Priddy, ‘I don’t want to go with you alone, because I’m afraid you won’t bring me back.’
Priddy then reportedly asked, ‘Do you want someone to go with us, then?’
Lila Asher then offered to accompany them, saying, ‘I’ll go with you.’
Matters continued to devolve, with final goodbyes being shared over the phone prior to all three vehicle occupants being found dead.
‘I love you mommy,’ Jadeance told her mother.
‘I love you baby,’ the parent responded.
