Jerzayah and Jeliyeh Singleton Brooklyn sisters reported missing after leaving their Coney Island home just on 12.30 a.m over the weekend before NYPD announcing the sisters are found safe. 

Update: Authorities with the New York City Police Department said Jerzayah Singleton, 12, and Jeliyeh Singleton, 11, who had been reported missing from Coney Island, have now been found safe. The circumstances of their return were not immediately released.

Original story: Police are asking for assistance in locating two young sisters who went missing from their home in Brooklyn after leaving during early morning hours. 

Jerzayah Singleton, 12, and her sister Jeliyeh, 11, were last seen leaving their home on West 25th Street in Coney Island around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Unanswered questions

According to the NYPD, Jerzayah is about 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs about 100 pounds. She was last seen wearing a green jacket, white sneakers and had a pink and blue background.

Jeliyeh is about 4 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 90 pounds. She was last seen wearing a green jacket, white tank top and black and white sneakers according to ABC7NY.

Not immediately clear is why the sisters had set out at the hour they did and whether they had made arrangements to meet with others.
