Wisconsin authorities on Friday arrested a man believed to be the boyfriend of a 29-year-old mother of two who was found slain in a Milwaukee motel room on Wednesday.
Alicia Renee Machnik, was fatally shot Wednesday afternoon at the Port Motel near Appleton Avenue and Silver Spring Drive on Milwaukee’s northwest side circa 2.30 p.m. Wednesday, January 14th.
According to FOX6, Alicia Machnik checked in at the Port Motel on January 12th. According to a search warrant, Machnik had checked into the motel with her husband, with the couple having stayed at the venue a few times over the past several months.

Come Friday, Milwaukee police stated a 29-year-old man, who the victim’s relatives identified as as the victim’s boyfriend, Lance White being arrested in relation to the homicide shooting of Alicia Machnik.
A report via CBS58 cited the slaying the result of domestic violence. Authorities had yet to file charges against the man who continued to remain in custody.
Posted the victim’s sister, Morgan Rea on Friday, ‘He was arrested. I feel so much relief. But the damage is already done. My sister is gone forever and even though he’s in jail I still will never get the closure.’
FOX6 reported after shooting his ‘wife,’ the man then going to his mother’s home with the woman telling police that her son was ‘acting out of character as if he was under the influence of some sort of drugs.’
In the immediate hours after the fatal shooting of Alicia Machnik, the victim’s sister, Morgan Rea took to social media accusing her sister’s boyfriend, Lance White, of the shooting and urged the public to be on the lookout for the man.
‘This is the guy that killed my older sister Alicia. Please be on the lookout for him. His name is Lance White. He shot and killed her today in Milwaukee at a hotel around 2:30pm.’
Fundraiser launched amid warning about the perils of domestic violence
The family launched a GoFundMe campaign titled ‘Support for Malinna & Jakii After the Loss of Their Mother’, to aid her children (aged 14 and 2), explicitly accusing Lance White of responsibility and seeking funds for funeral costs and support amid their pursuit of justice. As of Friday morning, the GoFundMe raised just over $4,642 on a $10,000 goal.
