Perhaps she should’ve ‘checked’ her primal urges….An Ocala, Florida nurse serving time for sexually assaulting her then 15-year-old stepson, has had her state medical license revoked mere weeks after her husband filed for divorce.
Alexis Von Yates, 35, is currently serving a two-years behind bars after her husband, Frank, walked in on the soon to be former step-mom having sex with his 15 year son at their family home in July 2024.
Von Yates pleaded no contest to lewd and lascivious battery and was jailed in September 2025 on a reduced two year jail sentence from the original charge of sexual battery.
Decision made to strip Ocala, Florida nurse of medical license
Following a meeting with the Board of Nursing and Yates’ attorney last month, the Florida Department of Health stripped the stepmother of her nursing license, according to the Ocala News.
Florida health officials temporarily suspended the nurse’s license last April — but a final order viewed by the outlet showed Yates met with the Board of Nursing in October, where her license was revoked after not disputing any of the allegations held against her.
Meanwhile, Marion County court records show that Yates’ estranged husband filed for divorce last month. Yes kids, when it rains sometimes it down pours.
According to an arrest affidavit from Marion County, on the night of July 26, 2024, Von Yates decided to ‘hang out’ with her stepson — who was visiting his father for the summer — after putting her two younger children to bed.

The pair reportedly played video games, watched movies and hit a THC vape — a chemical found in marijuana plants — before the step-mother expressing to her stepson how ‘horny’ she was because ‘she had not had sex in two weeks and she was on her period.’ Indeed.
The mother according to the affidavit proceeded to cuddle with her stepson on the couch in the living room, before proceeding to make out with the boy, at which point Von Yates told her stepson, ‘I wish you were 18, because you’re not old enough.’
Von Yates according to the affidavit, then ‘kicked off’ her underwear, and engaged in or*l sex and intercourse without a condom with the teen victim according to a prior report.
It was at this point, shortly after 1 a.m., when Frank — the minor’s biological father — came home from his blue-collar job, and discovered his wife naked with his son underneath a blanket on the couch, with the husband, demanding, ‘what the f–k is going on?’
The enraged father according to the affidavit accused his wife of being a ‘child predator.’
Sexual predator step-mom double whammy while serving two year jail sentence
The 15-year-old boy ran out of the home, but allegedly heard his stepmom telling his father that the son looked like him ‘when he was younger.’
The father rushed his son to his grandparent’s house, where the teen spent the night. A concerned family member reportedly alerted police to the crime after the boy’s father neglected to call cops — the mother was arrested in November 2024, according to Ocala News.
Von Yates was arrested and charged with sexual battery on a person 12 to 18 years of age and pleaded not guilty in December 2024 — later pleading guilty to a lesser charge under a new agreement.
‘The family’s desire for Von Yates to do additional time is outweighed by their overall concern for the victim’s mental and emotional health,’ prosecutor Shanae Pickens told the judge after the step-mom took the plea deal in August.
The plea agreement stated that Von Yates will serve two years in the Department of Corrections, followed by two years of community control and will remain on the sex offender registry for 10 years, as well as serving 200 hours of community service and pay fines and court costs.
Von Yates was sentenced to two years in prison in September 2025 and remains behind bars in Florida. Which is backhand talk, for when it rains it sometimes downpours and then some…
