Search for Ryan ‘RJ’ Davis, missing, Chickasha, Oklahoma, 12-year-old-boy intensifies as parents are arrested on child and sexual abuse charges as reward is now offered amid hope he is still alive.

The parents of a missing 12-year-old Chickasha, Oklahoma boy have been arrested on child abuse charges as the search for the missing pre-teen intensifies.

Ryan ‘RJ’ Davis, was last seen alive a week ago, with community members attending a vigil on Friday night, holding hope in still discovering the missing boy.

Robby Lee Fredrick Jr., RJ’s biological father, attended the vigil and expressed his determination to find his son as the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation on Friday announced a $5,000 reward for information on RJ Davis’s location.

‘Heartbroken. I’m feeling anxiety to find him. Because he’s got to be somewhere. Whether for good or bad, we need to know,’ Fredrick said speaking to KOCO.

The biological dad revealed that he has not had contact with RJ for about eight years, attributing this to one of the suspects.

‘George Cole kept me out of it. Kim let me try, and George shut it down,’ he said.

Kimberly Cole is Davis’ biological mother, and George Cole is the 12-year-old boy’s stepfather.

Fredrick, who had a previous relationship with Kimberly Cole, mentioned that RJ might have had access to a phone at times, but it was often taken away.

The developments follow RJ’s parents, Kimberly Kay Cole and George Franklin Cole Jr. being arrested in Caddo County on Wednesday. Kimberly is charged with crimes against nature, while George faces a conspiracy charge.

Child abuse and child sexual abuse complaints

Investigators initially declined to say how the charges were tied RJ’s disappearance, calling the case ‘suspicious,’ but gave further clarification during a Thursday news conference

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said the two were arrested on child abuse and child sexual abuse complaints.

‘It was learned that there was apparent harm done to this child while he was living with these two parents,’ Hunter McKee with the OSBI said.

Ryan ‘RJ’ Davis was last seen around 11 p.m. on Jan. 2 at Fourth Street and East Grand Avenue near the Quality Inn. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol issued an Endangered Missing Advisory on Jan. 6, and OSBI officials announced the next day that they had joined the investigation.

OSBI officials and the Chickasha Police Department said they believe Davis is still alive and that they are following numerous leads. The Chickasha police chief added that the 12-year-old boy would not be placed back into his parents’ care.

‘All we want to do is lay eyes on this child, get him the medical care that he needs, and assure him physically and emotionally that he will not be returning back to that environment,’ Chickasha Police Chief Goebel Music said.

Authorities are concentrating their search efforts for the missing boy in Caddo and Grady counties according to KOKH.

The missing boy’s biological dad, Fredrick, said he had a message for his son: ‘Ryker, your dad is here. Your real dad is here looking for you, and I’m out here tonight looking for you. And I am gonna find you no matter what way I need to go to do it.’
