Destiny Faith Chiveral, Charlestown, Maryland mom charged with child abuse death of 5-week-old baby daughter. 

Define narcissist? A Charlestown, Maryland woman who previously lamented the death of her 5-week-old daughter in a GoFundme fundraiser has been charged with the girl’s death.

Destiny Faith Chiveral, 24, was arrested at her Charlestown home in Cecil County, Wednesday night, less than a week after authorities receiving a call about a newborn suffering critical injuries.

Shortly after arriving to a home in the unit block of Leedle Circle in Rising Sun, the 5-week-old baby was pronounced dead, the Daily Voice reported.

Autopsy and search of property revealed Charlestown mom abusing newborn daughter

An autopsy was conducted, which determined evidence of trauma existed.

According to police, after consultation with the Office of the Cecil County State’s Attorney, Maryland State Police homicide investigators obtained search warrants for Chiveral’s phone, person, and two residences associated with her. The investigation and search led to the mom being charged on Wednesday. 

Chiveral was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree child abuse resulting in death, and related offenses.

Chiveral was seen for an initial appearance before a district court commissioner and remains detained pending further court proceedings, FOX45 reported.

Destiny Faith GoFundme fundraiser dedicatd to baby Kai’Ella

Read a GoFundme the mother had set up, titled, ‘Donate to in Memory of Baby Kai’Ella’ in part, in the days after the newborn’s death: ‘My babygirl. You were just too perfect for earth. I can’t even get my mind to stop racing so I can put something better together to say. I’ll love you with every ounce of my being, every second, everyday. You were so incredibly loved by so many and have left us all broken down here.’

Adding, ‘Mommy can’t wait for us to meet again, just watch over me until then.’

The fundraiser has since been removed.

Chiveral is being held without bond at the Cecil County Detention Center.
