Newly married woman, 26, shot dead near Dayton Family Dollar store, no arrests

Jamie Guadagno, newly married 26-year-old woman killed in shooting near Family Dollar in Dayton, Ohio. Victim gunned down multiple times. Had just moved from New York. No suspects or arrests made as cops investigate mystery shooting. 

A newly married 26 year old woman is dead after she was gunned down near a Family Dollar store in Dayton, Ohio, Tuesday evening, authorities have said.

Jamie Guadagno was identified as the woman killed in the shooting by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office announced on Wednesday according to the Dayton Daily News.

Dayton police and medics were called to 645 Troy Street on reports of a shooting at approximately 9:03 p.m, Tuesday night. Upon arriving at the scene, cops found Guadagno shot in an alley between two apartments and immediately began to administer first aid.

Who gunned down newly married 26 year old Dayton, Ohio woman? 

The woman was taken to a local hospital where she mortally succumbed from her injuries, according to Lt. Eric Sheldon with the Dayton Police Department

Tragically the victim had just moved to Dayton from from New York to marry a Family Dollar store employee, fellow co-workers told News Center 7.

Workers at the outlet said Guadagno was a ‘sweet person’ and that the shooting shocked them.

‘It doesn’t make sense,’ they said according to New Center 7. ‘Life doesn’t mean anything to anybody anymore, it seems.’

Police have not identified any suspects or made any arrests. It remained unclear how the 26 year old woman came to be fatally gunned down. Whether she had been intentionally targeted, and if so, why? Along with how she came to suffer multiple gunshot wounds? 

The Dayton Police Department’s Homicide Unit continues to investigate the shooting.
