Mia Williams Tallahassee, Florida man arrested dousing woman with gasoline & setting her on fire, critically injuring her at Taco Bell location during peak hours.

A man has been arrested after allegedly dousing a woman with gasoline and setting her on fire Wednesday night at a Florida Taco Bell.

The incident occurred circa 6:15 p.m. at one of the fast food chain’s Tallahassee locations, according to the Tallahassee Democrat. The suspect was observed entering the fast food venue during peak hours. The attack occurred shortly after and left the un-named victim critically injured.

The suspect, identified by police as 32-year-old homeless man, Mia Williams, fled following the attack. He was arrested following an overnight search just on 5am, Thursday morning. Unclear is what motivated the seemingly unprovoked attack.

‘At this time, [investigators] are on scene, trying to basically solve this puzzle, to figure out why this heinous crime was committed,’ Tallahassee Police Department spokesman Damon Miller was reported saying.

Of note, police said Williams identified as a black female.

Miller said it’s unclear if Williams knew the woman or what may have provoked the attack.

The victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital with serious burns.
