Since yesterday lunchtime’s bizarre Las Vegas cop shooting questions have been asked as to why two unknown gunmen, a man and a woman took to randomly taking two Las Vegas cops lives as well as third individual before taking their own lives.
Since identified as Jerad and Amanda Miller the couple’s social media profile along with neighbor testimony offers a chilling profile of what the pair had in mind.
According to neighbor, Krista Koch, who lives in the Bruce Street apartment complex where the suspects lived, the suspects were “militant” and had talked about killing police officers after going “underground” until it was the right time to kill.
Cops have also since discerned that whilst Jared and Amanda Miller, both in their late 20’s were both involved in the killings, they now believe Amanda Miller was the primary shooter and the person who fired the first shots.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Amanda fired at one of the officers while he was filling up a cup at the soft drink machine at Cici’s, a pizza restaurant in North Las Vegas.
She then shot the other officer multiple times while he was trying to draw his gun, the paper reported. Cops said the second officer was able to fire back, though it’s not clear whether either of the Millers were injured. By then there were two Las Vegas Metro Police officers dead, Alyn Beck and Igor Soldo.
The Millers then went into Walmart across the parking lot and killed a bystander before a police SWAT team could get there, police said.
And then there’s piece of information: According to the Review-Journal, the suspect told his neighbor he had been kicked off of Cliven Bundy’s Nevada ranch while Bundy was engaged in a standoff with the federal government over his refusal to pay grazing fees on his ranch.
Carol Bundy, Cliven Bundy’s wife, told the Review-Journal the Bundys don’t support the kind of violence carried out in the shootings:
‘I have not seen or heard anything from the militia and others who have came to our ranch that would, in any way, make me think they had an intent to kill or harm anyone.’
Yet in signs that the couple may have been part of a larger organization as opposed to simply acting out alone was the eerie fact after having shot the police officers, according to witnesses one of the suspects yelled “tell the police the revolution has begun,”
Before leaving the pizza store and running over to Walmarts, the couple would also draped one of the officers’ bodies in something that featured the Gadsden flag, a yellow banner featuring a snake and the words “Don’t Tread on Me” that served as a symbol of the American Revolution.
Some groups have used the flag in recent years as a symbol of the Tea Party movement, though it’s not clear what, if any, connections the suspects had to Tea Party groups.
Jerad Miller’s facebook posts would also identify him as a Patriot who liked dozens of militant movements on Facebook and railed against Islam, Obamacare, immigrants, the New World Order, and gun control, appears to have alluded to the attacks in several posts on his Facebook page (see below).
Sample likes include: Operation American Spring—the failed attempt last month to flood American streets with anti-government protesters, à la Occupy—as well as the III Percenters, a separatist group that participated in the Cliven Bundy standoff; “I Will Not Vote for Obama“; “I Did Not Vote For Obama“; “Obama Is the Worst President Ever”; Alex Jones; “Support the Second Amendment”; “I Love My Gun Rights”; Conservative America; Conservative Daily; Mr. Conservative; “Don’t Tread on Me”; Ron Paul; the NRA; Americans for Prosperity; and FreedomWorks.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Assistant Sheriff Kevin McMahill would tell during a Monday press conference that Jerad Miller had a criminal background as well as being a convicted felon. He also added the following:
‘He was kicked out of the Bundy ranch because of his criminal history and background.’
Amanda Miller‘s facebook profile would identify herself as “Head of Needlework Dept. at Hobby Lobby” and displayed some needlepoint designs on her timeline—likes some of those same causes, as well as others such as “Gun Control Kills” and David Lory Van Der Beek, a local anti-government candidate who was recently endorsed by Bundy’s preferred Independent American Party.
In May, after the Clive Bundy standoff fizzled, gawker speculates that the Millers may have fixated on the prospect of “suicide by cop” to forge his revolution:
By June, his resolve for an armed confrontation seemed to have hardened.
And then there was Saturday’s and final post that sealed the couple’s fates:
And then there is this disturbing video of a completely strung out Jerad Miller portending to imminent demise:
And out of wonkette: The Las Vegas police shooters were identified as two Neo-Nazi socialists.
Neighbors said “Jared” and “Amanda” had talked about killing police officers then going underground until the time was right to come out and kill some more.
They were also meth-heads.
Isn’t it time you brought your special brand of convoluted white supremacist brand of revolutionism to the fore too? Unless of course you really shouldn’t or unless of course you have all begun amongst you to conspire to the next batch os hazing of society and authority that you all despise…
And then there are these disturbing videos which may portend of supporters:
