Earlier in the day I popped over to Jasper Garvida for a slick elegance meets futurism collection entitled ‘Autour d’un Point.’ Cited as a talent to watch by the likes of Zandra Rhodes and Hilary Alexander Garvida wasted no time in showing off his signature feminine silhouettes in black, white and metallics. Selecting Diana Vreeland as his muse the designer merged soft circular cuts and fluttery sleeves with glitzy metallic hardware, exposed zips and oversized pockets. A case of contrasts albeit in a rather grown-up and glamorous kind of way.
