Last night saw the 3rd annual Blossom ball take place at the NY Public Library in order to benefit the Endometriosis Foundation of America. The fund started in 2008 aims as its sole mission according to its literature to “fight against the devastating effects of endometriosis, which affects 1 in 10 women. As a nonprofit organization, the EFA’s goal is to raise awareness about the disease through extensive research and collaboration with scientists, women’s health professionals and patients, as well as continued outreach and education efforts. EFA strives to further develop public knowledge and awareness of endometriosis promoting early diagnosis and effective intervention.”
Attending the much heralded event included founders Tamer Seckin and noted celebrity/persona Padma Lakshmi, along with co chairs Susan Sarandon, Cindi Leive and Eileen Guggenheim, with Grammy nominee singer Bebel Gilberto belting out some winners.
