Kristina Korsholm finally gets a chance to give us a taste of what’s actually inside Night Italia, because 17 pages are dedicated to gorgeous images of her surrounded by excerpts from her bestselling Danish novel NYC Head over (High) Heels. In this novel, she explores the dating scene of New York City; after all, she has lived it much like the rest of us in the room.

I am all to familiar with the words coming out of her mouth as she performs for us her first live reading ever, “…die-hard New Yorkers will without a wink of an eye say that playing the entire field is an absolute must…” Her words ultimately sum up the evening, “New York is the ‘new city’ that, despite it’s worn appearance, is always evolving.”

Perich and Fioramanti are reminding us that underground culture cannot be sold to the masses, as it is an appreciation of life, love, passion, and poetry and underground culture is the act of creating life, creating love, creating passion and creating poetry.
