100 Cups of Coffee. The ins and outs of internet dating.

K.S: My mom is keeping a look out for me which is hysterical. Old male friends from school I have not talked to in years. Guys I have met randomly on the streets and guys that my friends introduce me to. I am trying speed-dating next week, so hopefully I can knock out 10 dates at once with that!

As for the best/worst. I have had a lot of success with “Ok Cupid”. It is free and sends you about 3 matches a day. The worst being “eHarmony”. Though my friend met her future husband on there, I was on there a year with nothing but one asshole that talked about rape. Other sites in general that I have tried….”Plenty of Fish”, “Christian Singles” and my mother’s picks- “ Wealthy Men” and “Sparks”.

SCV: Where would you like to see your blog go?

K.S: I would love to turn it into a book because all my favorite celebrities are writers. But I have also received interest from a company wanting to turn it into a T.V show, like a PG Sex and the City. All I want is to touch at least one person with this project. I want my blog to be like the books that I enjoy reading-Like an open house. You go in to this place and you just get a glimpse of what these peoples lives are like. No matter what it looks like on the inside, it makes you feel just a little bit better about the place you live. More acceptable. More normal. That is how I want my blog to be viewed. I’ve already gotten letters and emails from women and even men saying that they enjoy my blogs, not because I am funny and dealing with these crazy dates, but because it gives them hope. “Them” being both men AND women…that are either divorcees, single parents, late 20s and 30 year old singles. I just want them to know that there is hope out there and that you do have a chance to find someone true and genuine.

SCV: Alright, you have fed me and the readers with a lot of knowledge and backstory, now it is time to get to some of the dates that you have gone on…With one date, how was learning about the anti-Christ and the 2nd coming all in one night?–Not the dirty kind of course.

K.S:  Well I learned that I was missing out on a lot by not reading the Bible in my spare time. Biggest thing I learned was that I have 7 years left till the end of the world. 3 and a half years till the anti-Christ comes and another 3 and a half till the 2nd coming. Looks like Jesus is my homeboy.

SCV: Did you ever take the “ORAL”  guy up on his offer?

K.S : No I did not. I wouldn’t be as frustrated if I did. He looked like a troll though, he was 2 inches shorter and about 40 pounds heavier than his picture. I know beauty is only a light switch away but I wouldn’t be able to scrub out the image of his face from my memory even with the most powerful loofah.

SCV: One of your dates believed that “90% of rape victims bring it upon themselves,” is this true?
