At first glance, Terese Pagh Teglgaard, a tall, dark blonde, all around beautiful girl, portrayed to most individuals as a super sultry and almost unapproachable debutante.  But beneath the refined and elegant surface rests a young lady trying to make it through her last year of secondary school (high school) while looking forward to a promising future in her already bustling European modeling career.  Terese is a native from Copenhagen (København), Denmark, which happens to be not only one of Northern Europe’s most lovely cities, but one of my favorites as well.  The beautiful people, stunning architecture, Fristaden Christiania (a zone/neighborhood where marijuana is legally accepted, similar to Holland – the “hemp beer” is out of this world) and 22 hours of daylight in the summer are a few of the city’s characteristics which individuals must experience once in their life.

Fortunately for Terese, she is able to experience Copenhagen’s fruits everyday (not the hemp beer of course), as she resides there for now.  Terese was discovered by the earlier Director of Elite Models in Copenhagen, Trice Thomsen.  I asked her how she was discovered and became a model exactly; Terese said: “I was sitting on the main shopping street with two classmates in hippie-flower-power/punk clothes, which is common for Danish youth, and she saw me.” I guess sometimes that’s all it takes to begin what is shaping up to be a very lucrative career and at only 18.  I asked her if this was her typical style, hippie-flower-power etc.  She said, “I am almost always ending up in stockings and a dress or skirt because it is comfortable.  I like to dress up in high heels and smart clothes which I feel I can be my self in, and I like to dress casual and relaxed.  I guess it depends on the situation, weather, and mood; at the moment I don’t have a favorite designer. I am not thinking of the brand, but about if I like the clothes or not.  I love the shops at Vesterbro and København K which are quarters in Copenhagen.”
