Robert Buckner, Mississippi man fired from Overstreet Properties for terrorizing Tyler Brodsky, Oklahoma dad taking his two young daughters to a QuikTrip gas station in Alabama as TikTok video goes viral and social media piles on.
The power of social media is omnipresent….
A man who was caught on viral video shouting at a father who took his young daughters into a women’s restroom at an Alabama gas station has been fired from a Mississippi real estate firm.
The man, since identified on social media as Robert Buckner, who also runs Lights and Ballasts MS was sacked by Overstreet Properties this week after footage of him berating Tyler Brodsky of Oklahoma going viral.
When Tyler Brodsky took his two young daughters into an empty women’s restroom at a gas station during a road trip from Florida back home to Oklahoma, he wasn’t expecting a visit from the police.

Overstreet Properties sacks worker over ‘unacceptable values’
‘The conduct depicted in the video does not reflect the values of Overstreet Properties or the standards we expect of those who represent our organization,’ the firm said in a release.
‘Our focus remains on providing quality service to our clients, partners, and community.’
Brodsky filmed himself keeping his cool as the ‘angry gas station customer’ called the cops on him for helping his own daughters in the women’s restroom.
Brodsky said the encounter unfolded when he pulled into a QuikTrip in Alabama while traveling back to Oklahoma from Florida over the weekend.
He said in a now viral post to his TikTok (see above) that he decided to take his girls into the women’s restroom, which was empty, over the ‘dirty’ men’s room.
That is when Brodsky said the man came ‘barging’ into the restroom and demanded they use the men’s room instead, which prompted Brodsky to start filming.
Cops sided with OK dad saying parent ‘did nothing wrong’
Brodsky in a shared update said that he believed the encounter was a misunderstanding, and said he made clear that only his daughters were in the bathroom at the time.
‘I knocked and announced that I’m coming in with two girls, which, at this time, the bathroom was empty,’ he said.
‘This guy comes in, starts yelling, demanding that we need to leave, I should have taken them to the men’s restroom, which I disagreed with.
‘I’ve personally been in men’s restrooms. I just didn’t feel like it was a good place to take two little girls.’
At some point during the interaction one of the young girls begins crying as Buckner continued screaming at the father.
In a follow-up video, Brodsky said that three officers responded to the QuikTrip and told him he had done nothing wrong.
‘They ended up showing up very quickly, very professional, very nice, quickly deescalated the situation.
He added that after everyone had been spoken to by police his two daughters were given slushies by the QuikTrip workers before they got back on the road.
Brodsky finished his video saying that the response to the video showed him that he was not the only one who had faced a similar situation.
‘This isn’t about one argument in a gas station. It’s about the fact that parents are often put in situations that aren’t comfortable. We’re simply trying to take care of our children and keep them safe’, he said.
‘I hope the man that did this will come across this video and realize what he did was wrong and not do it to anyone else.’
