Former Fair Oaks fire chief & wife in Pennsylvania charged with inappropriate contact and corruption of a minor who worked as junior firefighter volunteer.
A former fire chief and his wife are accused of having inappropriate contact with a teenage firefighter volunteer according to Leet Township, Pennsylvania officials.
In a filed criminal complaint, Nathan Turner, the former fire chief at Fair Oaks Volunteer Fire Department along with his wife, Stephanie Ann Turner, are alleged to have sent inappropriate text messages to a 14 year old boy who previously served as a junior firefighter volunteer with the Allegheny County unit.
The boy who had considered the ex fire chief and his wife like a ‘second mom and dad,’ until the wife started hitting on him and discussing hopes they’d eventually have sex, according to the complaint cited by WPXI.
Teen firefighter volunteer considered ex Fair Oaks fire chief & wife as second parents
In one alleged episode, the ex fire chief’s wife walked around topless when the teen visited their Leet residence, only to then take off her pants and ‘flash’ her private parts in the boy’s presence according to the complaint.
‘You literally took your pants off in front of him,’ read a text message the fire chief wrote to his wife, court documents allege.
‘Yes I did,’ the fire chief’s ‘horny’ wife responded.
The fire chief’s wife is further alleged to have written to the teen telling the boy that she wanted them to have sex when he turned 18, according to police.
The ‘inappropriate’ exchange happened between the winter of 2023 and the summer of 2024, court papers state.
The incriminating texts were allegedly found when Nathan Turner’s phone was seized as part of the investigation of a theft from the Sewickley Water Authority, where he worked before the fire department.
Abuse of position of authority, trust and power
The Turners were both charged with corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent exposure, harassment, open lewdness and criminal conspiracy.
Police have since requested warrants for the couple’s arrest according to WTAE.
The fire department said it has ‘no comment’ regarding the allegations, which it described as ‘concerning and serious.’
‘Mr. Turner and his wife are no longer associated with the department and no longer participate in any capacity with the department,’ the Fair Oaks Volunteer Fire Department said in a statement.
‘They do not reflect the values and standards of the department, the fire service and the community,’ the statement continued.
Adding, ‘Mr. Turner resigned as Chief in August of 2025 and has not participated in any capacity in the department since his resignation.’
