Brewers Hill shooting: Gabriel Gomez-Fiorenza Baltimore boyfriend alleged to have shot live in girlfriend, Amy Armstrong following domestic dispute. Suspect insists shooting death was an accident as he now faces first degree murder.
A 27 year old man has claimed accidentally shooting dead his live in girlfriend and business partner at their luxury apartment complex in Baltimore’s Brewers Hill neighborhood. Police have alleged that the woman’s shooting death was intentional and the result of domestic violence.
Gabriel Gomez-Fiorenza is alleged to have shot Amy Armstrong, 28, following a domestic dispute earlier that day. The woman’s shooting follows the man claiming he had threatened to shoot himself only for the woman to allegedly attempt to remove a rife from his possession, leading to her being ‘accidentally’ shot in the head as his finger was still on the trigger, as she ‘attempted’ to ‘wrestle away’ the weapon.
Gomez-Fiorenza told police he arrived home at The Porter Brewers Hill apartments around 11 a.m. Sunday.
Domestic dispute turns lethal
Around that time, he and Armstrong got into a verbal argument, leading to Gomez-Fiorenza allegedly then going into their bedroom and taking out an AR-15 rifle from under the bed.
After bringing it to the kitchen, Gomez-Fiorenza claimed Armstrong attempting to stop him from shooting himself according to a police report cited by WJZ.
‘The defendant alleges he was going to shoot himself, but the victim intervened by attempting to get the gun from him while he was holding the gun with his finger on the trigger,’ the police report stated. ‘During which time the gun discharged striking the victim in her head.’
Gomez-Fiorenza left with their apartment with rifle in hand and wasn’t found by officers until they responded to a call at the man’s family residence in Owings Mills around 1 a.m.

Domestic violence victim
Gomez-Fiorenza at the time of his arrest was in a backyard threatening to kill himself with the rifle. Officers apprehended him, with the suspect telling officers he had fatally shot Armstrong earlier that day.
The police report stated Gomez-Fiorenza at no point attempting to assist Armstrong or call 911 at the time of her shooting death, WMAR reported.
Gabriel now faces first and second degree murder charges along with first and second degree aggravated assault.
Together, Gabriel and Amy operated a local bartending business called Mr. Mixology.
A GoFundMe has been launched to help support Amy’s family.
