Matthew Stone, Erie, Pennsylvania gunman shoots and kills his pregnant daughter, Angelina Stone, her two kids, ages 5 & 1 and five other family members before killing self in murder-suicide episode at family’s Perry st home, Friday night.
A heavily-pregnant mom and her two children were among eight people shot dead at the hands of an Erie, Pennsylvania gunman who then took his own life, Friday night.
The murder-suicide left nine dead, including the gunman, who authorities have yet to publicly identify. Social media identified the shooter as 45-year-old Erie local, Matthew ‘Matt’ Stone.
The killings happened in East Erie, about 120 miles north of Pittsburgh, on Friday evening in a home at 722 Perry Street. Of note, Matthew S Stone according to public records is registered to that address.

One of the victims was identified as mother-of-two Angelina Stone, 24, by her family in social media posts. Social media citing family members indicated the gunman was her own father.
At the time of her slaying, Stone was eight months pregnant and was just days away from giving birth according to Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah. The horrific violence also left the woman’s two children, a 5-year-old boy and one-year-old girl dead, the dailymail reported, citing police.
Stone proudly noted on her Instagram profile that Isaiah Hodges had been born on July 15, 2021, making him five, while Amari’anna had been born on November 21, 2024, making her one.
She also suggested that her third child, Kyrie, was set to be born on October 14 – this upcoming Wednesday.

Among the other victims, a 37-year-old female, a 41-year-old female, a 44-year-old female, a 19-year-old male and a 21-year-old male were also confirmed dead, police said Saturday.
The gunman, took his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot, bringing the total death toll to nine. A 40-caliber registered handgun was found on him.
Lorah said Saturday that eight of the nine dead were related to the shooter. None of them were named.
According to Lorah, two of the victims, two females had arrived at the home on Perry st only to be shot after the doorbell video captured the gunman emerging from the home and shooting the two women.
Lorah only described the woman as a family friend and a sister in law to one of the victims.
Ring doorbell video footage showed that the two women arrived at the residence ‘appearing distressed’ and ‘seeking assistance from neighbors’ while pounding on their doors, Lorah said.
All of the victims inside the residence lived there, but the two women outside the home did not.
By the time police arrived at the scene, all nine individuals were dead.
What led to Matthew Stone, Perry dad targeting family members?
Unconfirmed reports identified Stone’s father, Matthew ‘Matt’ S. Stone as the person responsible for killing her and her children. However, police had not publicly confirmed the victims’ identities, the suspected shooter’s relationship to them or a motive in the information available for this report.
Family members said Matthew killed several relatives, including his son, Jonathan Antonio Stone, as well as other members of the household. The reported victims also included his sister, who lived with the family, and a friend of his sister who was visiting.
Aaliyah Williams, who identified herself as the sister of Amari’anna’s father, said in a GoFundMe fundraiser that Stone had been killed in a murder-suicide.
‘Now our family is facing the painful task of laying them to rest,’ Williams, of Erie, wrote.
She said Stone’s family did not have the money to cover the losses caused by what they deemed an ‘unthinkable tragedy.’
The family said they only had two weeks to finalize funeral expenses and other arrangements for the mom and her children.
‘This is more than [we] can carry alone right now, and we truly need the community to rally around us,’ the fundraiser read.
Stone frequently wrote about her children online and posted photos of her pregnancies, showing off her baby bumps.
On September 25, Stone had posted an ultrasound of her unborn child and noted that she was 36 weeks pregnant.
‘Momma cant wait to hold you,’ the expectant mom wrote.
Authorities continue to investigate.
