Danielle Weaver, Leesburg, former Lee County 9th grade teacher in Georgia arrested on child molestation and sexual assault of student charges after school surveillance video captured incriminating behavior.

A former Lee County 9th Grade Teacher in Georgia turned herself in on Wednesday on charges of child molestation and sexual assault by a teacher, principal or other administrator.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) confirmed that the former teacher is Danielle Olivia Weaver, 29.

The female teacher’s arrest comes after the Leesburg Police Department was made aware of allegations against Weaver regarding inappropriate contact between a teacher and student and called the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) to assist.

Female educator caught straddling boy in car by school surveillance video

Social media described the educator as being recently married with two young children and allegedly caught on school surveillance video straddling and kissing a 15-year-old male student in her car.

Another student also allegedly witnessed Weaver with the student and told classmates, which widely spread through the school, prompting an investigation earlier this month.

Warrants were reportedly taken out for Weaver’s arrest by the GBI following the investigation. She turned herself in Wednesday morning, WALB reported citing local officials.

Posted the recently married teacher on her Facebook Wall: ‘One whole year spent with the love of my life! There is absolutely no other person I would want to spend this life with other than you, Caleb. I am thankful for God sending me a man to love and take care of me the way that you do. I look forward to all of the many blessings to come with you!’🤍

Recent resignation and letter to concerned parents following rumors circulating

The educator’s arrest comes two weeks after the Lee County School System sending out a statement to parents on February 5 addressing rumors of inappropriate relations between a teacher and a student. The letter also came out two days after Weaver resigning her post with the Lee County Board of Education.

Read the statement: ‘Reports and rumors are circulating concerning alleged inappropriate contact between a teacher and student in a Lee County School System school. We, at the 9th grade campus, can confirm that there is an ongoing legal investigation involving law enforcement concerning the alleged conduct of a former staff member who is no longer working for the district. Upon discovering the allegations, school and district leadership acted immediately to ensure the safety and well-being of students, as well as to conduct a thorough investigation.

The individuals who have been directly affected have been contacted. The district will continue to cooperate with law enforcement, as well as with those affected, to ensure that no obstacles to resolving the investigation exist.

The safety and well-being of our students remains our highest priority. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.’
