An Indiana high school secretary is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student on at least five occasions and was allegedly caught with another pupil by her husband.
Alicia Hughes, of Union City, IN., was arrested following an investigation of sexual misconduct with minors, according to the Union City Police Department.
The probe was launched on Saturday when officers were called to an alleged battery assault.

During their investigation, police were reportedly told by Hughes’ husband that he had caught his wife with an 18-year-old student and confronted them.
The student attended Randolph Eastern School Corporation – the same school where Hughes worked, WTHR reported.
Authorities say a confrontation erupted where she was reportedly attacked in the altercation by the husband. That incident is now being investigated by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department.
But there was more to come.

As detectives continued investigating, they uncovered evidence Hughes had also been involved in an inappropriate relationship with a separate 17-year-old student.
Investigators determined Hughes had engaged in sexual activity with the minor on at least five occasions, WKRC reported.
Hughes was arrested and preliminarily charged with five counts of child seduction tied to the alleged abuse of the 17-year-old. She was transported to Randolph County Jail, where she is being held on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
Cops say the investigation is ongoing and is urging anyone with information to contact them.
Union City Police and Randolph County School release statements
UCPD officials wrote in a statement: ‘The Union City Police Department extends its appreciation to the Randolph Eastern School Corporation for its swift cooperation, transparency, and commitment to protecting the students of the district throughout this investigation.’
The high school also confirmed the disgraced teacher was removed from her role in the school as a secretary after her arrest on Sunday, FOX59 reported.
Superintendent Neal Adams, who works at the school stated: ‘RESC takes all allegations involving students extremely seriously. Upon becoming aware of concerns, the corporation fully cooperated with law enforcement and will continue to do so as the investigation proceeds. We appreciate the professionalism and diligence of local authorities in handling this matter.
Because this is an active criminal investigation, and to protect the privacy of students and the integrity of the process, RESC will not comment further on specific details at this time.
