Oliver McSorley, Pewaukee, Waukesha County, Wisconsin teen charged with pummeling 81-year-old driver in road rage incident for driving too slow.
A Wisconsin teen is alleged to have ‘bashed’ an 81-year-old driver in a ‘senseless’ road rage incident after accusing the elderly motorist of ‘driving too slow.’
Oliver McSorley, 19, was charged on December 27 following an October incident outside the Waukesha County Technical College campus in Pewaukee.
Prosecutors said McSorley tailgated the driver, whose identity remained concealed before purposefully slowing down WISN reported. McSorley then ‘aggressively’ passed the victim and abruptly cut back in front of him.
‘I could’ve literally beat him to an inch of his life.’
The victim said he tapped McSorley’s bumper when he caught up to him at a light, leading to McSorley pulling over. The victim also pulled over, leading to the two men arguing before the elder driver pushing McSorley, who in turn pummeled the 81-year-old to the ground before bystanders intervening.
McSorley drove off but later turned himself in. While in jail, he spoke with his mother on the phone, telling her he wished, ‘I would have beaten him to a pulp.’
‘I should have beaten the s*** out of him … he is lucky he only has a concussion,’ McSorley said in the recorded jail phone call, The Freeman reported. ‘I could’ve literally beat him to an inch of his life.’
The victim according to an arrest report had blood coming from both ears and an eye, numerous cuts and bruises, and a concussion.
Prior to his arrest in October, McSorley had been arrested for a speeding violation for driving 106 mph on a freeway.
At the time of his initial court hearing, McSorley was charged with one count of battery to an elder person – with intent to cause bodily harm according to Waukesha County court records.
McSorley is scheduled to return to court in February. If convicted the 19-year-old faces up to six years in prison.
