Stephanie Lovins, Columbus, Ohio real estate agent fired over racist comments she made to Mexican waiter launches a GoFundme page to help her navigate precarious financial situation, while promising to redeem herself.

A former Columbus, Ohio real estate agent who met with the internet’s wrath, leading to her being fired after targeting a waiter at a Mexican restaurant has resorted to grovelling for donations following derogatory comments she left for a server along with a zero tip.

The customer, who was swiftly identified as Stephanie Matthews Lovins, who dined at Cazuelas Mexican Restaurant & Cantina in Columbus, earlier this month, wrote ‘I hope Trump deports you!!!’ on the signature line of the bill.

Lovins and her posse had spent $87.84 at the restaurant, but instead of leaving a tip, she wrote, ‘Zero, you suck,’ followed by the derogatory message. At no time was management at the restaurant made aware of unsatisfactory service. Presumably Lovins was blighted by her bias and antipathy to the worker for what she perceived to be their illegal immigrant status (but how wrong she was).

Little love lost for racist Ohio realtor

It wasn’t long before Lovins comments went viral after a worker at the eatery shared a photo of the receipt on Facebook. And the internet being the internet, the ‘racist’ customer was soon identified and given a full unabridged version of karma in a sh*t storm.

Initially insisting she had had her credit card stolen and fraudulently used, it became revealed that Lovins was indeed the individual who had dined on the evening of the pejorative comments.

A torrent of comments condemning the realtor soon appeared on the internet, leaving her employer, ‘Century 21’ little choice but to distance itself from the racist agent.

Wrote the mortified real estate company: ‘We are aware of the situation with the agent in question. Hate has no place within the Century 21 brand, and we are taking this very seriously,’

‘After investigating the situation and connecting with the respective broker, as all companies affiliated with the Century 21 brand are independently owned and operated, we can confirm that this agent is no longer affiliated with the brand.’

The incident led to social media netizens banding together and launching a fundraiser for the dissed server, who legally resides in the United States and getting him a proper tip. To date fundraising efforts on behalf of Ricardo has led to over $26K raised.

‘Stephanie’s Path to Accountability,Reformation, Second Chance.’

Left high and dry, Lovins has now resorted to also launching her own GoFundme under the banner, ‘Stephanie’s Path to Accountability, Reformation, Second Chance.’ Do you suppose?

States fundraiser, Bobby Blancher on behalf of the disgraced real estate agent:

‘Stephanie Lovins deeply regrets a mistake she made that has had serious consequences on her life. In a moment of frustration, she wrote something offensive on a restaurant receipt that she now realizes was hurtful and wrong. Since then, she has faced intense backlash, lost her job and real estate license, and had to remove herself from social media due to embarrassment and harassment.

‘Stephanie understands that her words didn’t just affect her—they also impacted the restaurant employee and others who saw the message. She deeply regrets the pain her actions may have caused and is committed to learning from this experience.

‘She is not making excuses—she takes full responsibility for her actions and is enrolling in diversity training and educational programs to better understand the impact of her words and grow as a person.

‘Right now, Stephanie is struggling financially as she works to rebuild her life. This fundraiser is to help her with basic living expenses, career transition, and educational programs so she can move forward in a positive way.’

Adds the fundraiser:If you believe in second chances and personal growth, please consider donating or sharing this campaign. Stephanie is committed to turning this into a learning experience and hopes to one day use this journey to help others learn from her mistake.’

As of Thursday night, the fundraiser had raised $1207.

What do you think? Does Stephanie deserve a second chance with your pocketbook tears or a drying out period where she can really reflect on her bad behavior and her lack of sympathy and compassions for immigrants, whether legal or illegal, often forced to leave their birthplace in search of a better life because of so often of things and instances that they are powerless to change.
