Illegal migrants, Jefferson Ubilla-Delgado and Geiderwuin Bello Morales charged in the slaying of George Levin of Norwood Park, Chicago after meeting on Grndr dating site.

Two illegal migrants, including one wearing an ankle monitor, allegedly murdered a Chicago man they met on a dating app at the man’s Norwood Park home on January 23rd — before going on to use the victim’s credit card on Amazon purchases.

Jefferson Ubilla-Delgado, 29, from Venezuela, and Geiderwuin Bello Morales, 21, from Ecuador were charged with first-degree murder and robbery in the death of George Levin, 63, who the duo met on Grindr, Chicago police said in a release.

Both men are undocumented immigrants, sources told The Chicago Sun-Times.

The pair allegedly beat Levin, then tied him up with duct tape and electrical cords along with stuffing a sock in his mouth.

Surveillance video captured the suspects leaving their apartment that night with Bello Morales holding a roll of duct tape. The pair shortly after arrived at the Norwood Park home of Levin shared with his 65-year-old sister, who reported hearing loud noises from his downstairs apartment.

When she checked on her brother, she ran into Bello Morales, with the sibling asking: ‘Is my brother OK?’

Bello Morales responded saying, ‘Yes, I am with your brother. I will have him call you.’

Two hours later when she went to check on her brother, she found both the door to his home and his bedroom locked.

After breaking in, she found Levin partially clothed, tied up and gagged, and deceased, prosecutors said.

An autopsy performed by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office determined Levin had died of multiple injuries from the assault, CBS News Chicago reported.

Surveillance footage later captured Bello Morales and Ubilla-Delgado trying to use Levin’s credit cards and phone to make purchases at a vape shop and gas station.

The duo also made four Amazon purchases on his phone totaling over $4,000, eventually causing his Bank of America account to become locked.

By tracking items like Levin’s cellphone and an electronic monitoring device being worn by one of the suspects, authorities were able to find the two suspects and arrest them, WGNTV reported.

Ubilla-Delgado was arrested Wednesday at his home in Norwood Park. Morales was arrested Thursday in the 2600 block of North Troy, but police said he listed his home address in the same block as Ubilla-Delgado’s.

Bello Morales had been wearing a Department of Homeland Security ankle monitor at the time of the killing following the January 12th arrest, ABC7Chicago reported.

In that incident, he was charged with a misdemeanor count of assault for allegedly ‘gesturing toward’ a 12-year-old girl to lure her to his car, the Sun-Times reported.

He is due back in court on Feb. 25 in that case.

Judge William Fahy denied pretrial release for both men, with the duo who do not speak English and who had been given a translator, now scheduled to appear in court again next week.

During court proceedings, defense attorneys called the incident an unfortunate accident, saying, ‘It was an unfortunate incident. We have no way of knowing what happened in that room what was consensual and what was not.’

Bello Morales is originally from Ecuador and moved to the U.S. one year ago, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, with Ubilla-Delgado coming to the U.S. from Venezuela about a year and a half ago.
