A 14 year old girl and a 16 year old boy have died following a mass shooting at a pop up party in Northeast Houston, Texas, that led to a total of five to six individuals shot.
Azirya Bankhead, 14, was among the two teenagers fatally shot Saturday night while attending a pop-up party at a venue known as the Curfew Club, near the East Texas Freeway.
According to police, a 13-year-old is in critical condition, an 18-year-old is in serious condition, and a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old are both stable, KTRK reported.

‘They killed my baby,’ Azirya Bankhead’s mother, Charlisa Jones told the outlet.
Azirya’s brother, Cleshaun Bankhead, was with her at the party.
‘She was like, ‘Alright, I am going to go with my friends,’ and after that, I was standing next to her, and all I heard was shots. I looked down and went to the restroom, and when I came out, they were carrying my sister out, and she was lifeless,’ Cleshaun said.
Investigators said officers arrived to a very hectic scene with people running around all over the place, with scattered shoes and liquor bottles as remnants of the bullet riddled makeshift pop up party.
Officers tended to multiple people injured, most of them teenagers, who’d attended the last minute pop-up party advertised on social media as the ‘hottest teen club’ in Houston, News4SA reported.
‘We are assuring the public that we are going to put all our resources and finding out what happened here tonight and who did this so we can bring them to justice,’ said Houston Police Asst. Chief Luis Menendez-Sierra. ‘If you were here tonight, we need your help. We need you if you were a witness unto what happened, we need you to call that number. We need you to give us information so we can bring these people to justice.’
Menendez-Sierra said obtaining surveillance video to help with evidence will be difficult since the event happened at an empty building.
‘It’s non-sanctioned, and they’re not under any regulations, which is what causes the problems with these kinds of events. With no regulations, there’s nothing guarding it. Nothing to make sure it’s a legit establishment,’ the police chief said.
To date, Houston police have not announced the identities of any suspects or made any arrests.
