A 35 year old Alabama man was arrested over the weekend after calling 911 to confess to shooting both his parents dead.
Tyler Ferguson is alleged to have called police Saturday afternoon, circa 4 p.m, telling a 911 operator he had momentarily shot dead his mother and father at their residence on Taylor Road, Ohatchee.
Responding deputies with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office arrived ‘within minutes’ to find Randall Ferguson dead inside the home and Debbie Ferguson fatally wounded on the back porch, WBMA reported. She was rushed to Gadsden Regional Hospital, where she died.
No known motive
Following questioning, police arrested the couple’s son and charged him with two counts of murder.
Tyler Ferguson currently remains held in the Calhoun County jail on no bond.
Police declined to say what led up to the double shooting and how the victims came to be targeted.
No known motive was immediately known.
