Audrey Hale Nashville shooter legally obtained 7 guns from five different gun stores despite being treated for emotional disorder which ought to have preempted her from legally accessing guns.

Define gun control? Audrey Hale, the shooter who killed three adults and three children at The Covenant School in Nashville on Monday, was being treated for an ’emotional disorder’ before the rampage, police said. Nevertheless the 28 year old transgender gunman was still able to access a cache of weapons.

Speaking to Fox News on Tuesday, Nashville Police Chief John Drake said that Hale, 28, legally obtained the weapons used in the attack, but shouldn’t have been in possession of them because ‘she was being treated for an emotional disorder.’

It is unclear what disorder Hale – who also used the name Aiden – was suffering from.

In an interview shortly after the shooting, an anonymous friend told The Daily Beast the former art student also had “high-functioning” autism.

Hale, who was previously a student at The Covenant School, was shot dead by police at 10:27 a.m. on Monday. Officials say she had been carefully planned the massacre, and possibly planned to target other sites, as well.

Manifesto showed detailed planned attack with many targets

Speaking to CBS Mornings, Chief Drake said officials ‘strongly believe’ that Audrey Hale, was also planning to attack ‘family members, and one of the malls here in Nashville.’

Drake said that Hale, a former Covenant School student, may have been fueled by resentment when they staged the planned attack.

Religious schools typically shun same sex interaction and or alternative gender identities.

‘The head of the school was assassinated in the hallway,’ Drake noted, referring to the death of victim Katherine Koonce, 60.

A search of the shooter’s home revealed additional weapons and maps indicating other potential targets, the chief added.

‘We have a manifesto…that shows exactly what [they] had planned to do,’ Drake explained.

Adding, ‘We have maps that showed the entry point into the school, the weapons that she was going to use, the clothing that she was going to wear. She had drawn it up almost like a cartoon character.’

To date, just three months into the new year, there have been at least 130 mass shootings in the US, including Monday’s rampage at The Covenant School in Nashville, statistics show.

The glaring statistics are provided by the Gun Violence Archive (GVA), which defines a mass shooting as an incident in which at least four people, not including the shooter, are shot.
