Most of us understand that we are not going to look like a supermodel when we are smashing out a workout, however, there are a few tips and tricks to help us look great. When you feel good, your workout is going to be ten times better. So here are 3 tips on how to look great and feel great while working out.

   1. Wear Clothes You Feel Good In

We all have insecurities that we are working through, whether you are insecure about your belly, your thighs, your nose, your feet – whatever it is there are ways to reduce the insecurity. One way to help is to wear clothes that you feel good in. For example, if you are worried about your cellulite showing through your legging, you could wear a pair of House of Peach Leggings with scrunch to boost your bum and cover up any cellulite. So with some flattering gym wear, you will be looking the part and feeling it too. Also, when you know you are wearing a great outfit your confidence will radiate. 

When buying your gym attire, make sure that you 100% like them because if you are unsure it is very unlikely that they are going to grow on you. Also, buying clothes that are too small for you because you want to work towards fitting in them is a bad idea. Do not do that to yourself! You will end up de-motivating yourself and feeling defeated every time you see them. Get the clothes that fit and flatter your figure well and do not waste time on anything that doesn’t make you feel good.

   2. Opt For Minimal Make-up

When you are on the treadmill getting the heart pumping you are going to get a bit red and that is absolutely fine. However, some women do mind this or they suffer from more severe red blotching. If you can relate to that you should consider putting on a light dusting of makeup. It may sound like a silly idea to put make-up on just to go to the gym but if it helps you feel better about your appearance then why not? Just remember to not go overboard otherwise you will have makeup dripping down your face and that is not a great look to work. 

   3. Be Confident

Confidence is key! Whenever you are doing a workout you need to respect yourself and know that you are looking great doing it. You do not need anyone else’s validation to feel good. Confidence is sexy and it really shows. If confidence is something you struggle with, you should try doing ‘the power pose’ and holding it for a minute before going into the gym and nailing your workout. It can be a journey to find self-assurance and confidence, but they are the things that will always make you look great while you workout. 

So, the next time you are getting ready for your workout you will know exactly what to wear and do to make sure that you are feeling and looking great.
