Who needs commonsense when one is fearless? The woman caught on camera brazenly climbing into the lion enclosure at the Bronx Zoo has been identified.
Myáh Lareé Israelite, posted video of herself on her Instagram page as she nonchalantly made her way inside the zoo’s giraffe enclosure on Saturday – with the resulting video widely shared.
‘LITERALLY I HAVE THE SAME DIET AS A GIRAFFE’ she wrote in a caption of that video.
Videos of her taunting a lion from the wrong side of a zoo fence went viral Tuesday.
‘I REALLY HAVE NO FEAR OF NOTHING BREATHING,’ the animal lover posted on Instagram. ‘ANIMALS CAN FEEL LOVE JUST LIKE HUMANS.’
‘Only People wasn’t scared was me and The Children. All the Adults was Scared.’
Scared cause commonsense and self preservation know few boundaries.
The weekend’s incident follows Israelite ignoring warnings and concerns from other zoo patrons prior to her climbing into the lion enclosure.
‘You’re not supposed to do that,’ a man can be hears saying three times as our fearless social media warrior ignores him. ‘Go ahead and fall in there and see what happens,’ the man can be heard warning Israelite.
‘Please don’t eat me Mr Lion, not now, that I have the chance of being a social media star and a tabloid addendum.’
Come Wednesday, the zoo filed a trespassing complaint against our collective hero.
The NYPD said the investigation is ongoing.
