Brazilian gender crime: Rosana Candido and her lesbian lover, Kacyla Pessoa tear off 9 year old son’s penis and reattach female genitalia cause they wanted a girl.
A Brazilian mother and her lesbian lover are accused of ripping off her nine-year-old son’s penis before beheading him because he reminded her of her dad.
Rosana Candido, 27, and Kacyla Pessoa, 28, also allegedly sewed a fake female sex organ onto the body because he ‘wanted to be a girl’ before scraping the boy’s skin off his face.
Local media also reported the pair attempting to gouge out the boy’s eyes using a knife after mother Candido stabbed her son identified as Rhuan Maycon da Silva Castro a dozen times.
The child was killed and mutilated at their home in Samambaia, about 20 miles from the capital Brasilia the Pluralist reported last month, May 31.
The mother ran away with the boy after her father, who lives in Acre, near Peru, lost custody five years ago.
Upon murdering the boy, and stabbing him a dozen times, the pair reportedly botched the attempt to hide his body.
They bungled burning some of him on a barbecue, so stuffed some of his remains in a suitcase and dumped them in a sewer, according to police.
Witnesses called police after noticing the couple walking through a soccer field with a suitcase containing Rhuan’s corpse. When officers responded to the family’s home, they found the women there with Pessoa’s 8-year-old daughter.
Other body parts were hidden in two backpacks at the couple’s home.
Rosana Candido and Kacyla Pessoa ‘felt hatred and no love’:
Both Candido and Pessoa confessed to the killing and face homicide, torture and concealing a corpse charges.
The two women are said to have told investigators they used ‘rudimentary tools’ because Rhuan ‘wanted to become a girl’.
Local reports say: ‘After removing his penis, the women said they sewed an improvised version of the female organ onto the mutilated area.’
Cândido reportedly claimed the lad was a ‘burden’ and a hindrance to her relationship with Pessoa.
She also ‘felt hatred and no love’ for him because he reminded her of father, who allegedly abused her.

She then went to live with Pessoa and her daughter, who, now aged nine, has been put into care.
In a recent TV interview, Candido also said that her son had to die because she had been assaulted by her father, her ex-boyfriend and Rhuan’s other grandfather about two years ago because she had converted to Christianity.
‘For me, that was the solution,’ she said. ‘It would be hypocrisy for me to say that I did not know what I was doing, but [killing the boy] was the only thing that happened in my head.’
Octavia Moreira, an attorney representing both the family of Rhuan’s father and Rodrigo Oliveira, the father of Pessoa’s daughter, told Metropoles that her clients’ many attempts to track down their children were stifled by Brazilian bureaucracy, as well as Candido and Pessoa’s frequent moves to remote cities.
Police chief Guilherme Melo said that the cruelty of the crime had shocked hardened investigators.
‘She killed her son, quartered, decapitated, plucked the skin and tried to get rid of the body. It was a very terrible case,’ the Police Chief told local media.
