Instagram model Angela Panari, 24, posted a photo to her 1.9 million Instagram followers on Monday. A post that the Indonesian femme fatale came to regret soon after.

The post triggered outrage among her fans- reminding her that although she may be widely adulated- social media has little qualms on turning on its stars and reminding them that their value is contingent on playing ball and not offending the followers that gave them fame and access.

So zealous were her followers’ condemnation that Panari took down the controversial post within five minutes of it having gone live. But too late – the damage had been done as some followers managed to take screenshots of the incriminating post and widely share their dismay.
Explained a deflated Panari via DetikHot: ‘I immediately deleted my story. The story was up for less than five minutes but some people captured it already until it went viral.’
The micro-celebrity was even blasted by parents for her insensitivity. Others said she may be a mother herself one day.
She later apologized and said it was written in frustration. Indeed- define frustration?
‘I apologize for the mistake I made because of my emotions. I was angered so I posted that story. I promise not to repeat this kind of behavior again and I took this as a lesson,’ the back peddling Instagram influencer relented.
Panari later said she came to sympathize with the obviously beleaguered mother.
‘I took pity on her because she seemed so stressed out and her baby was still hysterical,’ she said.
But of course will social media and Panari’s followers take pity on her….?
